As a Lead Full Stack Engineer, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. Your responsibilities will extend from designing system architecture to high-level programming, performance testing, and systems integration, ultimately designing innovative solutions to solve business problems. You will be a critical leader, focused on innovation; with experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back-end languages.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Assume leadership of projects by partnering with analytic teams, subject matter experts and product leaders to design, implementation and deployment of the software product that leverages the cloud environment

  • Work with engineering/development teams and product managers to ideate and architect software solutions and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale

  • Contribute to common frameworks and best practices in code development, deployment, and automation/orchestration of end-to-end analytic processes

  • Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences

  • Design client-side and server-side architecture

  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications

  • Design and implement scalable web services and applications

  • Engage with inspiring designers and front-end engineers to build front-end of applications through appealing visual design, and collaborate with leading back-end engineers to create reliable APIs

  • Write low-level and high-level code.

  • Collaborate with the design team on developing micro-services.

  • Create security and data protection settings

  • Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design

  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency

  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software

  • Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities

  • Collaborate across time zones via Slack, GitHub comments, documents, and frequent team calls

  • Mentor and train junior members of the team


Required Qualifications:


  • Develop and implement technical efforts to design, build and deploy Azure/Databricks applications on the web

  • Proven hands-on experience building web applications from concept through execution

  • Advanced knowledge of front-end languages such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery

  • Proficient in back-end languages such as Java, Python, Rails and Ruby

  • Proficient in JavaScript frameworks such as React and Node.js

  • Deep understanding of REST, web security, session management, etc.

  • Proven ability ensuring the feasibility of UX designs

  • Skilled at UX design implementation

  • Experience with designing, configuring, and managing cloud infrastructure (Azure/Databricks)

  • Strong exposure to API (REST) web services development & deployment

  • Programming experience (8+ years) – Python, SQL, Spark

  • Good Experience (8+ years) on DevOps, CI/CD on cloud solution in Azure / AWS etc. and manage cloud infrastructure/container services like Kubernetes/ Docker, etc.

  • Hands-on experience developing data pipelines that demonstrate a strong understanding of software engineering principles

  • Ability to work with business and technical audiences on business requirement meetings, technical white boarding exercises, and SQL coding/debugging sessions

  • Familiar with Airflow or similar orchestration tool


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working in projects with agile/scrum methodologies

  • Experience designing wireframes, mock ups and prototypes

  • Databricks experience

  • Experience with shell scripting languages
